Celine Reynolds

Part time Associate Dentist (GDC no 258190)

I have been working in Newcastle since 2015… what originally was a 12 month change of scenery, escalated into a nearly 5 year stay…but how could you leave Newcastle, it’s great!

I grew up in a small village called Crossgar in County Down, Northern Ireland. I went to school in Belfast, and later studied at Queens University Belfast too, where I obtained my Bachelor of Dental surgery.

I completed my Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery Edinburgh (MFDS) in Autumn 2017.

Since then I have undertaken multiple cosmetic and aesthetics training courses, including Invisalign teeth straightening and Facial aesthetics (anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers) to an advanced level.

Facial aesthetics is something which I have become increasingly interested in, as I believe that regardless of your age, or gender, everyone wants to look and feel their best, and being able to give that confidence back to people is truly rewarding. I like to call them ‘Tweakments’ as all of my treatments are subtle and natural, and focus on enhancing what is already there, rather than looking artificial.

I provide a mixture of NHS and Private treatment daily, but particularly enjoy treating children. I partly wanted to become a dentist because of the great experience I had with my own childhood dentist, and I would love for my own patients to feel the same.

BEHIND THE SMILE

We asked Celine some questions to find out more about the woman behind the smile. Away from her professional life, what are the things she holds dear?

If you were able to invite three people (fictional or non fictional), (present or past) to your dinner table who would they be and why?

Jason Bourne, I think he would have great adventure stories
Tommy Shelby, again I think he would have very dark but interesting stories to tell
Michael Jackson, I love his music and would love to know how he found the inspiration behind his songs

If you weren’t a dentist, what would you want to do as a career?

Tennis Player

If you were to share one piece of dental advice, what would it be?

Nothing is as good as your own teeth so please look after them

What is your favourite charity?

Cancer Research
