Chloe Worts

Part time Associate Dentist (GDC no 283551)

My love of dentistry started as a young child with trips to my family dentist who always made the experience enjoyable. She really inspired me, and I would even go home and practice being a dentist on my sister with a bedside lamp and a teaspoon as a mirror!

I grew up in Nottingham and spent my teenage years driven to get into dental school (amongst other things) and accepted my place at Newcastle University in 2014. Newcastle was fabulous as a university and since graduating, I’ve enjoyed so much more of it. I love trips into Northumberland and out to the coast! My dream is to horse ride along Bamburgh Beach and I’ve recently taken up riding lessons so that one day I can.

Before joining Ilfracombe Dental Practice, I spent the first few years of my dental career in Middlesbrough. I’m particularly interested in restorative dentistry. I enjoy placing composite fillings and am undertaking courses to develop my skills further. I am passionate about helping make a difference to an individual and I find this to be the most rewarding part of the job. This can be achieved either by cosmetically improving someone’s smile, helping an anxious patient or educating someone on how to improve their oral health.

BEHIND THE SMILE

We asked Chloe some questions to find out more about the woman behind the smile. Away from her professional life, what are the things she holds dear?

3 celebrities I’d invite to a dinner party

  • Greg James (radio 1 DJ) – I find him humorous as he can brighten any morning.
  • James Corden – to do a carpool Karaoke
  • Martin Luther King – what an amazing man ! I would have loved to hear his speech in real life!

What would I be if I wasn’t a dentist?

A performer in musical theatre. (I can’t sing but I love a good musical)
