Brooke Bennett

Foundation dentist nurse (GDC NO 299915)

I am proud to say that I qualified as a dental nurse in 2021 despite all the disruptions that occurred during Covid19 lockdowns and extra PPE that had to be worn. I have worked in primary NHS dental services since that time. I enjoy being part of a caring team at Ilfracombe Dental practice. In my spare time, I enjoy socialising and spending time with my family is which is also important to me.

BEHIND THE SMILE

We asked Brooke some questions to find out more about the woman behind the smile. Away from her professional life, what are the things she holds dear?

If you were able to invite three people (fictional or non fictional), (present or past) to your dinner table who would they be and why?

1) Lady Gaga; I’d love to know the stories behind her songs

2) Nigella Lawson; I love the way she describes how she cooks, and I would really like to know how she would describe mine.

3) Ricky Gervaise; apart from being funny, he is really good at describing/ imitating everyday people.

If you weren’t a dentist, what would you want to do as a career?

I’d want to be a police woman

If you were to share one piece of dental advice, what would it be?

Regular check-ups are really important, even when things feel absolutely fine. We do more than just fix teeth; we screen for oral cancers and other diseases that present in the mouth. Early detection can sometimes be the difference between life and death.
