Anastasia (Anna) Brown
Dental Therapist (GDC no 285883)
I was born and grew up in Ekaterinburg, Russia, where I qualified and worked as a dentist.
I moved to the UK in 2016 and worked as a Dental Nurse until I gained registration as a Dental Therapist in 2021. In early 2023, I passed my Bachelor of Dental Surgery exams and I now enjoy practicing as a dentist. I focus on working with patients to meet their individual needs, which often includes the provision of restorative treatments and advice on preventative care. My background in dentistry, combined with my passion for my profession, makes me uniquely qualified to provide exceptional care to my patients. I am currently working towards my Bachelor of Dental Surgery examinations, and hope to soon practice as a Dentist in the UK.
I love exploring new countries and experiencing new cultures. I enjoy going hiking and exploring the beautiful English countryside with my husband and dog.

BEHIND THE SMILE
We asked Anna some questions to find out more about the woman behind the smile. Away from her professional life, what are the things she holds dear?
If you were able to invite three people (fictional or non fictional), (present or past) to your dinner table who would they be and why?
Sir David Attenborough – My favourite documentary is Planet Earth. I would love to hear more about the making of such a brilliant show.
Joe Rogan – I love listening to his pod casts. He has met so many interesting people and has a great ability to discuss and put across many interesting ideas.
Jordan Peterson – He is a professor of psychology who I admire. I find him highly intelligent and an interesting orator. I love to listen to his discussions and read his book.
If you weren’t a dentist, what would you want to do as a career?
I’d love to work with Sir David Attenborough as his researcher for his Blue planet documentaries.
If you were to share one piece of dental advice, what would it be?
Try to reduce the amount of sugary drinks and snacks in your diet and don’t forget to visit your dentist regularly.
What is your favourite charity?
Water Aid, I believe that clean water is the most basic human right (as well as clean air), and should be available for everyone.
