Emergency NHS Dental Appointments

• Anyone requiring urgent or emergency dental care (you do not have to be a registered patient).
• Anyone requiring non-urgent dental care but who are at risk of further deterioration.
• Anyone who is vulnerable for medical or social reasons (such as children in care).
• Those who need an initial dental treatment before medical care is required, such as:
  • Patients awaiting cancer treatments.
  • Patients progressing onto anticoagulants.
  • Patients awaiting immunosuppressant medication.
  • Patients with oral ulceration.
  • Patients diagnosed with diabetes.
  • Patients awaiting transplant surgery.
  • Patients requiring an oral health check before a planned operation.
  • Patients progressing onto bisphosphonates.
  • Patients on calcium channel blockers with oral side effects.

This is not a walk-in service so please ensure you book an appointment with our team before you arrive. There is also a maximum number of appointments that we are allowed to offer per day so they are only available on a first-come-first-served basis. If we should reach our daily capacity, any further urgent dental needs should be referred to the NHS 111 service.

Please be aware that normal NHS charges will apply unless evidence of your exemption is brought to the appointment. Please also note that since these are considered ‘Access Appointments’ and are required to resolve an immediate issue, you will not be automatically accepted for routine NHS dental care going forwards.
